Die Ausstellung von Herlambang Bayu Ajis Schattentheater beinhaltet unter anderem die Schattenfiguren, die speziell für die Geschichte kreiert wurden. Außerdem zeigt die Ausstellung eine Dokumentation der Recherche über Wayang Kulit, das indonesische Schattentheater im Alltag, die im Frühjahr 2024 in Solo und Umgebung vom Künstler zusammen mit Camilla Kussl durchgeführt wurde.
Herlambang Bayu Aji lebt und arbeitet in als Künstler in Berlin. Er praktiziert sein eigenes Schattenpuppen Theater, Wayang Rajakaya, seit 2005. In Form und Material wurde Wayang Rajakaya vom javanische Schattenpuppen Theater, Wayang Kulit, inspiriert. Wayang Rajakaya kann allerdings nicht als traditionelles Wayang Kulit bezeichnet werden, daher kommt der Titel der Ausstellung: „You May Call it Traditional, but it's Not.“

The exhibition of Herlambang Bayu Aji's shadow theater includes, among other things, the shadow figures that were created especially for the story. In addition, the exhibition shows a documentation of the research on Wayang Kulit, the Indonesian shadow theater in everyday life, which was carried out by the artist together with Camilla Kussl in Solo and the surrounding area in spring 2024.
Herlambang Bayu Aji lives and works as an artist in Berlin. He has been practising his own shadow puppet theater, Wayang Rajakaya, since 2005. Wayang Rajakaya was inspired in form and material by the Javanese shadow puppet theater, Wayang Kulit. However, Wayang Rajakaya cannot be described as traditional Wayang Kulit, hence the title of the exhibition: “You May Call it Traditional, but it's Not.”
